These terms cover using SILNS. They are written plainly on purpose. Using SILNS or buying it means you accept them.
What SILNS is
SILNS is a visual session timer that runs in a web browser. It shows the time remaining on a session, saves reusable presets, and can mirror a session onto a second screen. That is the whole product.
What you are buying
One payment of $4.99 USD grants your account permanent access to SILNS. It is not a subscription. There is no monthly fee, no annual fee, no renewal, and no trial that turns into a charge.
Access belongs to the account you signed in with. Sign in with the same account on another device and SILNS unlocks there too, at no extra cost. Access is for you; please do not share your sign-in with others.
Payment is handled by Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never reach SILNS.
Refunds
If SILNS is not what you expected, email support@silns.app within 30 days of your purchase and you will be refunded in full. You do not need to give a reason.
A refunded purchase ends access to SILNS. This happens automatically once Stripe confirms the refund.
Your account
You sign in with Google. You are responsible for keeping that account secure, since anyone who can sign into it can reach your SILNS presets.
You can delete your account at any time from the account screen. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Records of the payment are kept where financial regulations require, with your account details removed so they identify nobody.
Fair use
Please do not:
- resell SILNS or pass it off as your own
- attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service
- use SILNS for anything unlawful
Accounts doing any of the above may lose access. Where that happens without a genuine reason, you will be refunded.
What SILNS does not promise
SILNS is a timer, not a safety device or a medical device. Do not rely on it where an inaccurate or missed time could cause harm.
The timer is designed to keep running without a connection, and the countdown is computed on your own device. Even so, SILNS is provided as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available at all times or free of faults. Screens fail, browsers update, and networks drop. Keep a backup way of knowing the time if a session genuinely depends on it.
To the extent the law allows, liability for any loss arising from using SILNS is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes
Features may be added, changed or removed as SILNS develops. If a change materially reduces what you bought, you may ask for a refund even after the 30 days above.
These terms may be updated. The version on this page is the one that applies.
