Privacy
SILNS is a timer. It does not need to know what your sessions are about, and it is built so that it cannot.
What SILNS stores
- Your email address, from the Google account you sign in with.
- A display name, if Google provides one.
- Your purchase record: that this account owns SILNS, when, and the payment reference.
- Your timer presets: names, lengths and appearance.
- Your preferences: theme, display style, sound, haptics, wake lock.
What SILNS does not store
None of the following exists anywhere in SILNS, because there is no field for it:
- client, patient or student names
- therapy, treatment or session notes
- appointment or booking records
- meditation journals or history
- a log of the sessions you have run
A preset called “60 Minute Massage” is a length and a set of colours. SILNS does not know whether you ran it today.
Advertising and tracking
There is no analytics platform, no third-party tracking script, no cookie used for tracking, no cross-site identifier, and nothing that builds a profile of you. SILNS is paid for once, which is why it does not need to be paid for by anything else.
SILNS does advertise itself, and it needs to know which advertisements are
worth paying for. So if you arrive from an advertisement or a shared link
that carries campaign labels in its address — the utm_source
style parameters an ad platform adds — those labels are stored on your
device. If you go on to buy SILNS, they are attached to that payment in
Stripe, so we can see which advertisement led to a sale.
That is the whole of it. The labels describe the advertisement, not you. They are never sent anywhere unless you start a purchase yourself, they are never used to decide what you see or what you pay, and they never leave your device if you never buy.
Who processes data
- Supabase — authentication, and the database holding your profile, presets and settings.
- Stripe — the one-time payment. Card details go to Stripe and never touch SILNS.
- Netlify — hosting and the server functions.
- Google — only as the sign-in provider you chose.
Your device
A running session is stored on the device itself so it survives a reload and keeps time without a connection. That copy contains the timer's timestamps and its appearance. Signing out removes it.
Connected displays
A paired screen receives the session on it — the timer, its colours and the preset's name — and nothing else. It never receives your email, your account, your purchase or your other presets. Pairing codes are temporary, single-use, and expire on their own.
Deleting your account
From the account screen, at any time. It removes your profile, presets, settings and display pairings, and deletes the sign-in account itself. Records of the payment are kept where financial regulations require, with your account details removed so they identify nobody.
